It is shown that the isoelectric region of tantalum is at pH 9 to 2 and niobium at pH 7 to 0. The isoelectric region of tantalum solubility is 8.0 x 10/sup -6/ mole/l. and niobium 1.4 x 10/sup -5 mole/l. Effects of H/sup +/ and OH/sup -/ concentration on solubility of Ta and Nb acids were evaluated.
